  • Burro’s Tail 3.5″

    $12.99

    Burro’s Tail Care

Light: Provide bright, indirect light for your Burro’s Tail. This succulent enjoys plenty of sunlight but should be protected from direct sun, which can scorch its delicate leaves. An east or west-facing window with filtered sunlight is ideal. You can also acclimate it to receive some direct morning sun if you live in a region with mild sun exposure.

Temperature: Maintain a warm and consistent temperature. Burro’s Tail prefers temperatures between 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C). Protect it from cold drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations.

Pot and Soil: Plant your Burro’s Tail in a well-draining cactus or succulent potting mix. Make sure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogged soil, as this can lead to root rot. Use a shallow and wide container as this plant has trailing growth.

Watering: Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Water sparingly, but thoroughly, during the growing season (spring and summer). In the dormant season (fall and winter), water even less. Avoid getting water on the leaves, as they are susceptible to rot when wet. Water directly into the soil at the base of the plant.

Humidity: Burro’s Tail doesn’t require high humidity and will tolerate average indoor humidity levels.

Fertilization: Feed your Burro’s Tail sparingly. Use a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half the recommended strength. Fertilize every 2-3 months during the growing season, and avoid fertilizing during the dormant period.
